Can you introduce us to this diploma?

This is a 2-year course leading to a Master's degree in Marketing, Sales, Marketing and Hotel Services Development. The Master's degree is registrated as State Degree in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP code 35907). It is certified level 7.

This Master's degree responds to the strong demand from companies in the hotel sector looking for future managers capable of developing the hotel offer, taking into account, on the one hand, the positions and actions of the competition and, on the other hand, the evolution of lifestyles. Anticipating these movements and reinventing the offer are essential qualities in this profession today.

Who is this diploma for?

This diploma is aimed at students who hold a Bac+3 level degree preferably in Management, Information and Communication, Applied Languages, or specialised in the field of hotel services or tourism. As the course is open to a varied public, it is not necessary to have had an educational background in the field of hotel services. On the other hand, candidates must have a certain attraction for the hotel, tourism and catering sector and also have the ability to evolve in a company in a decision-making capacity.

What are the strengths of this course?

It is a combination of academic requirements and business practice, with the application of the theories covered in the course during internships carried out over the two years (alternating or at the end of the course period) or alternating contracts over one or two years. The teaching team includes teacher-researchers, teachers and professional specialists in the field, always with the dual objective of combining theory and practice.

Moreover, the students live in a pleasant environment in Metz and the premises of the IAE Metz School of Management allow students to work in good conditions.

The aim of the course is to ensure that graduates have a vision of the market, know how to evolve the design of the service to the customer, anticipate the movements of the competition and adapt the offer and the marketing mix to the requirements of the sector.

What are the job openings for this course?

Graduates of the course can work in any company in the hotel and catering sector, in the leisure or tourism sector offering accommodation or catering, or in the institutional catering sector, to occupy positions of:

  • management responsibility in small and medium-sized institutions
  • of responsibility for a function (accommodation, catering, management, communication, sales, etc.) in the integrated hotel industry, with the aim of progressing rapidly to general management.
